Rules about entries, Tips and Hints:

-  Every image will be eligible for every category of finalists (unless, of course, it is completely insufficient, ie, a non-color image will not be eligible for Best Use of Color, etc.).

-  Contestants should post their username first, followed by a list of their entries, numbered appropriately. If the image has a title, post that too. Example:

For an example of an entry, please see the ET Fountain Entry Example by [xido]. Note that neither of these images have backgrounds, and would be disqualified from the Best Backgroung category.


-  Contestants are encouraged to NOT advertise their entries alone in the contest in a rude, soliciting, inappropriate or biased manner. Any claims of someone trying to overrun a contest category or disrupting the contest in any way like these, and that are found to be factual can result in one or more of the following repercussions:
A) Contestants could be asked to remove all such comments, mood-links, and other irritating or disruptive advertising, B) disqualification from one or all categories, and/or C) being reported or registered with the Elftown and WFR Guild Guards for breaking contest rules.
Contestants are encouraged to advertise the entire contest and to have their friends vote for the entry that they feel is most applicable to the category they are voting for, not necessarily for their Elftown friend only.

-  Maximum number of entries: 3 images. At least one must include color.

2006-05-05 [xido]: No problem... I don't mind when it's a photo you've taken yourself... plus, you worked on your own piece to make it a fountain for real... So it's cool. I am impressed with the entries, but alas, it is more than halfway to the deadline, and only 3 finished pieces....  *sigh* Tisk tisk, you promisers, you.  :P  ;)

2006-06-02 [xido]: It's otay, milady Talis. I was actually thinking about extending the contest deadline because of school schedule... I was thinking after the 12th of August, when I get my next week break. Plus, it would give a little more time for after the News Item goes up advertising it..... I'd like to have a lot of entries, so maybe it would even give some of us time to make a second or third picture for fun..... Not sure yet, but I will post it before the deadline is up, for sure. Let me know what you guys think of this... The News Item is almost ready and being considered, but it would only give new entrants a mere couple of weeks to finish a top notch picture.... Let me know, guys.
